2008 - socialized medicine - up for a vote - GUARANTEED!

In 2008 you will have 2 people running for the oval office. One of them is intent on nationalizing all health care in the United States. Socialized medicine WILL happen, if you do not convince the American people to vote for the other candidate.

The top three democrat contenders ( Clinton, Obama, Edwards) have ALL been campaigning on the position of their intent to nationalize health care in this country, and they are serious about it. Seems that no matter which one of them wins their parties nomination, this will be an idea put forth for the American people to accept. And the reality is that since either the republican or democrat will win the election, the stakes are extremely high on putting into the race a candidate who can articulate AGAINST the nonsense, against the medical and financial nightmare that would ensue such a fateful decision.

The American people know there are problems with our health care system and will not elect someone I believe, whose position here is to continue the status quo. Who better than Romney to put forth tangible solutions to these problems that reinforce the private sector role in medicine while at the same time expanding coverage available to people at the lower financial echalons in our country? Who better to tell the people that many of our problems here stem from government meddling in the market in the first place? Who better to explain that it is almost always better to subsidize the means of consumption rather than the means of production when helping people acquire goods and services?

If we fail to put the right person into the ring in this 2 person contest, one seventh of our economy will be socialized. Think about it. Then act.

Government shouldn't be in the business of health care. Period. That's why I can't support a commie like Romney.

Your statement is so asinine I am not sure even how to respond. How do you take actions which REDUCE the amount of government spending on healthcare and reinforce the role of the private sector in providing the means of production of medicine qualify as "commie" behavior? Do tell!

Do you agree with the premise of the post that the democrat contender in '08 will be championing much more of a "commie" type of health care system? I hope you do, because the top three on that side of the political fence are at it right now, just go and see for yorself.

Who of the viable to win candidates on the right do you feel can better articulate the importance of the private sector in medicaine to combat the socialized plans which the democrat WILL campaign on? Who?

Please elaborate on what you feel is the better solution here that supporting a man who has found creative ways to reduce medical welfatre spending, while at the same time increasing the type of medical services available to those who still recieve welfare, all the while creating no new government programs, in fact shrinking some and bolstering private systems? Soounds like brilliant CEO type stuff here. Where do you draw "commie" out of that?

I think you are fighting the guy you may not realize is actually your ally in this fight. Look at his policies a bit closer.

In all fairness, how could anyone really pinpoint Romney's positions and policies? He's taken every possible position on nearly every important issue. The Republicans nailed Kerry as a flip-floper in '04. Just imagine the field day the D's will have with Romney.

Mitt looks like a typical politician/shyster, and his inconsistent record only serves to discredit him. What's so great about this guy?

Mitt was the best candidate who never had the shot... I guess his riches played a role in his failed presidential bid...
