Washington State Presidential Poll

Check out a Washington State poll that took place a couple days ago.

If you scroll down a little bit you will notice that Romney is in a pretty good position considering that he is not well-known around these parts.

Wow, great find! I 100% sure that the reason he is third is due to name recognition.

Once he actually starts campaigning, you will see his number rise dramatically.

I agree. That's a very encouraging poll at this point.

I wish Gov. Romney would quit using the racial slur "tar baby" in his speeches. It is offensive and shows a lack of respect for the black community.

Hey Shawn,

I didn't know how else I might contact you, so I'll add a comment here. (Sorry this isn't a comment on your post.) My name is Mitchell and I also live in Everett. I'm interested in being a part of getting Mitt in office in 08. I graduated from BYU in '97 with a degree in political science. I'm in the Everett 3rd Ward.

I didn't want to put my regular email on the web, so I set up a temporary email. Email me at

Keep up the good work!

If your really concerned about this then you should check out the main blog dedicated to Mitt Romney here..

Also, Jeff Fuller covers this issue hereā€¦.

I am positive that he wouldn't have used this term if he actually knew that some would be offended by it. I personally haven't heard the term used in 20 years, when it was in the kids book b'rer rabbit. I didn't realize that it had any racial connotations.
