Washington State Presidential Poll

Check out a Washington State poll that took place a couple days ago.

If you scroll down a little bit you will notice that Romney is in a pretty good position considering that he is not well-known around these parts.

•Stopping runaway spending
•Getting immigration right:
•Achieving energy independence
•Simplifying the tax system
•Investing in technology
•Defeating the jihadists
•Competing with Asia
•Affirming America's culture and values

There is more commentary and analysis on the "Mittosphere". Ann Marie and Jeff Fuller both cover this article very well.

"Landing Big Campaign Finance Fish"

The Washington Post has a good article that list some of the major campaign contributors of President Bush and who is wooing them for 2008. My first assumption was that the "anointed one" (McCain) would have racked in most of them. I was wrong. We do see that Gov. Romney has 12 contributors that have chosen him while Frist has 7 and McCain has 5.

Jeff Fuller provides some great analysis of a McCain-Bush deal (which includes this article) over at Red State, it's very recommended.
